Working with The Little Blind Shop: What to Expect
We work with you every step of the window treatment buying process, from the first consultation visit to the final install. The Little Blind Shop helps customers select the right blinds, shades, and shutters for their window. We know that the warmth and character of the authentic wood slats of Parkland® Wood Blinds create a welcoming ambience in living rooms and dining rooms. Duette® Cellular Shades keep bedrooms warm in the winter and cool in the summer with their energy efficient design and insulating properties. The Little Blind Shop understands that every room—like every customer—is different. When you work with us, we pay special attention to your wants and needs and take the guessing out of the equation. After you’ve selected your new window treatments, our installers measure and install them for a hassle-free window treatment shopping experience.
Consultation Visit
To find the window treatments that will accentuate and elevate your interiors with function and style, The Little Blind Shop will need to know more about you! While all blinds, shades, and shutters give homeowners better control of the light that enters their windows, your light-filtering, room-darkening, insulation, and durability needs will ultimately determine which window treatment will perform best for you. Over the course of your consultation, we will discuss what you value most from your window treatments, such as energy-efficiency, light control, style, and color. After your consultation, we will send you a quote via email. Clients will need to put down a deposit in cash or charge a credit card before we can begin work on their custom window treatments.
Day of Install
We treat your home like it’s ours. Our expert installers are respectful of you and your home, which is why after install, we’ll never leave a mess. When your window treatments are ready for installation, we ask that you prepare your interiors for our installers. This ensures a smoother installation process so you can enjoy your new custom window treatments as quickly as possible.
Please remove any snow or debris outside your home and clear a path to and around the installers’ work area, moving any furniture that may block easy access to your windows. If your window treatments will have Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation, we ask that you download the PowerView® app on your smartphone or other preferred device.
In the event you won’t be home during the installation, we will need permission to enter your home and your preferred access point, such as your garage. As we install your window treatments, we also ask that you have payment ready with the rest of the balance paid in full.
Timetable
The estimated time of completion depends on the size of the project. We do our best to keep you updated on the state of your custom window treatments and get your window treatments to you as quickly as supply chain constraints allow.
Servicing and Warranty
Hunter Douglas window treatments are renowned for their unfaltering performance and innovative design. At The Little Blind Shop, customers can be confident in a one-year parts and service warranty on their Hunter Douglas window treatments. After one year, parts are covered for the product’s lifetime, and any future maintenance will incur a service trip and repair charge. Our experts at The Little Blind Shop are experienced in repairing Hunter Douglas window treatments so customers can enjoy well-lit and insulated interiors year after year.
