Working with The Little Blind Shop: What to Expect
We work with you every step of the window treatment buying process, from the first consultation visit to the final install. The Little Blind Shop helps customers select the right blinds, shades, and shutters for their window. We have an extensive collection of window coverings; We’re guaranteed to find the right fit for your home!
The Little Blind Shop understands that every room—like every customer—is different. When you work with us, we pay special attention to your wants and needs and take the guessing out of the equation. To find the window treatments that will accentuate and elevate your interiors with function and style, The Little Blind Shop will need to know more about you! While all blinds, shades, and shutters give homeowners better control of the light that enters their windows, your light-filtering, room-darkening, insulation, and durability needs will ultimately determine which window treatment will perform best for you.
Consultation Visit
When customers call The Little Blind Shop to schedule a consultation, we suggest that they bring the measurements of their windows them to our shop (Width x Height x Depth). The benefit of coming to The Little Blind Shop is that you get to see all of your choices at one time and have the opportunity to try the different operating systems to determine which is the best fit for you. Depending on time and the number of products you are interested in,your quote can be done at the time of consultation. However, if there are multiple quotes, we may send them to you via email after your consultation.
Once clients have decided on a product, an appointment is scheduled to come to your home. We bring our sample books with all of the fabric choices and help you decide and measure your windows using our laser measure tool. We then do a final quote with the new fabrics and measurements which are typically sent within 24 hours. If no changes are needed, we request a signed copy be returned to us.
Clients will need to put down a deposit via check or credit card before we can order their products.
Day of Install
We treat your home like it’s ours. Our expert installers are respectful of you and your home, which is why after install, we’ll never leave a mess. When your window treatments are ready for installation, we ask that you prepare your interiors for our installers. This ensures a smoother installation process so you can enjoy your new custom window treatments as quickly as possible.
Please remove any snow or debris outside your home and clear a path to and around the installers’ work area, moving any furniture that may block easy access to your windows. If your window treatments will have Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation, we ask that you download the PowerView® app on your smartphone or other preferred device.
In the event you won’t be home during the installation, we will need permission to enter your home and your preferred access point, such as your garage. As we install your window treatments, we also ask that you have payment ready with the rest of the balance paid in full.
Timetable
The estimated time of completion depends on the size of the project. We do our best to keep you updated on the status of your custom window treatments and get your window treatments to you as quickly as supply chain constraints allow.
Servicing and Warranty
Hunter Douglas window treatments are renowned for their unfaltering performance and innovative design. At The Little Blind Shop, customers can be confident in a one-year parts and service warranty on their Hunter Douglas window treatments. After one year, parts are covered for the product’s lifetime, and any future maintenance will incur a service trip and repair charge.
